Real-Time Microorganism-Free Sperm Cell Separation System

With an increasing number of infertile patients seeking fertility therapy, intrauterine (IUI, in vivo artificial insemination technology) and in-vitro fertilization (IVF) technology (commonly known as Test-Tube Baby Technique) have become prevalent. Both two technologies (IUI and IVF) need techniques of sperm cell separation and preparation. There are many different techniques for sperm separation or preparation. Among them, the “Real-Time Microorganism-free Sperm Cell Separation System” is the best one.

This technique applies lots of principles of biology, biophysics, and basic science, such as (1) non-pathological spermatozoa do not transport microorganisms, which is a basic discovery of reproductive biology; (2) The computer-generated images of infectious and/or pathological sperm cells are different from normal ones and the upward swimming capacity is inhibited; (3) The swimming speed and direction of the sperm cells are different from the random active motion of ciliated microorganisms or passive non-ciliated movement of organisms. In addition; (4) The sperm cells of higher mammals with long-term and single birth pregnancy including humans and farm animals, such as dairy cows, buffalos, horses, goats, and sheep are able to swim horizontally, upwards, and downwards. The sperm cells of those with short-term and multiple birth pregnancy animals (like boars, dogs and cats) can swim horizontally and downwards, instead of (or without) upwards swimming. This phenomenon is "An Evolutionary Theory of Sperm Behavior" in the biological world.

The application of this system is to preserve, refine, and extract the essence of sperm cells of human and higher mammalian, and to achieve the best/high-quality of spermatozoa in terms of highly-motile, microorganism-free, morphologically-normal, normal-chromatin, and normal-permeability of cell membrane, with high fertility potential (fertilizability) in the treatment of reproductive medicine. The results of these evaluations indicate that the Real-Time Sperm Separation Technology can prevent infectious diseases and possibly sex-linked inherited diseases from paternal side, and this technology is the most effective and precise method of isolating and decontaminating spermatozoa to date.

CHMSUN acknowledges that there is a very high infertility rate in the world, it is estimated that about one-seventh of the reproductive-age population in well-developed countries are suffering from infertility. Techniques of in vivo and in vitro fertilization have already become popular in the field of international reproductive medicine. The application of the “Real-Time Microorganism-free Sperm Cell Separation Technology” can obtain microbes-free, disease-free, excellent chromatin and fertilizable sperm cells. It avoids spermatozoa from infectious diseases and decreases the chances of congenital infection and possibly inherited diseases of fetus from the paternal side. The “Real-Time Microorganism-free Sperm Cell Separation Technology” will provide an essential contribution to reproductive medicine. CHMSUN expects that future newborns will be healthier and their families will be happier with the application of this technology.
